Cat Photography - Heartland Animal Shelter

I first began doing Cat Photography for the first time during the summer before my sophomore year of college. On days where I volunteer to engage with cats, I would help take photos and videos of them. When it comes to photographing them, this is an opportunity to put my own creative play to it. The intention of doing this role was to help promote cat adoption and give them their forever homes.

This section in particular shows the cats photos I took at the Heartland Animal Shelter which is located in Wheeling (another Chicago suburb).

Hopper

This photo was taken at Heartland Animal Shelter in Wheeling, IL. When I got to interact with him, he was so playful and energetic. You can see him sitting on top of that cat cactus scratching post as if he is like the king of the kittens.

Peep

Peep is another playful kitten I got to interact with. The way he runs around in the room can make others laugh with delight. He was great friends among the other kittens and very expressive. The best part of getting to see cats through photo or video is encouraging people to give back to local shelters as well as getting the opportunity to adopt them.

Moo Moo

Here is Moo Moo, an adult cat that has black and white fur in a similar pattern of a cow which is fascinating. â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹

Rosati

When I met him at the shelter, his personality is that he is a nice cat but sometimes can be a little spicy. What I love about him is that no matter what position he is in, he likes to rock the photos. Oftentimes, he makes relatable facial expressions.
